The
Baton Rouge Southern Railroad (BRS) began operations November 28,
2008.
The BRS
consists of 1.5 miles of track and will primarily be
utilized by a local industry to facilitate their plastic and chemical divisions.
Cars will be stored on the BRS and supplied to the Kansas City Southern Railway
to deliver to the customer location.
There are four industries located on the railroad
shipping commodities such as bauxite, plastic pellets, raw coke and calcinated
coke. Proximity to the Port of Allen makes this location a prime candidate
for growth.
For efficiency and ease in disputing any and all
customer invoicing, please send documentation to
BRSdisputes.
