The PSWR began operations April 1, 2003 and is the first shortline railroad east of
the Mississippi for Watco Companies.
The PSWR is also the company's first operation serving a steel mill. Twelve
mainline miles of track make up the shortline.
Primarily serving Allegheny Ludlum in Midland, PA, the PSWR interchanges with the Norfolk Southern Railroad and mainly handles steel scrap and steel products.
The PSWR strives to provide railroad services to the existing strong customer base and hopes to create many more relationships through quality customer service.
