Pennsylvania Southwestern Railroad (PSWR) would like to advise you of a Fuel Surcharge we will be implementing effective with November 1, 2005.
This is the first time in the history of the PSWR Railroad we have implemented any type of surcharge on our local traffic. As you are all aware, with the price of crude oil and the higher cost of diesel fuel for our locomotives, we must implement this surcharge to allow us to continue to serve you in the most efficient manner possible.
We are basing the fuel surcharge on the prior period’s monthly average price of Retail On-Highway Diesel Fuel as reported by the US Department of Energy . This surcharge will be adjusted on a monthly basis.
