ABOUT

The Great Northwest Railroad is a 97-mile short line running from Ayer Junction, Washington, to Forebay, Idaho. Products shipped on the line include forest products, agricultural products, industrial and farm chemicals, scrap iron, and frozen vegetables. The line was originally part of the Camas Prairie Railroad Company which was started in 1909. Throughout the years the line has changed ownership and pieces have been abandoned. Watco purchased the line in 2004 and named it the Great Northwest Railroad.
